CHEMICAL PEELS

Chemical Peels are a great way to bring back a new and healthy skin.  Skin gets battered everyday by the elements and sun, leaving the skin dull and wrinkled.  Using chemical peels allows the skin to speed up the skin shedding process and bring out the healthier looking you.

How Do Chemical Peels Work?

A chemical peel solution is applied to the skin, which weakens the skin allowing it to be peeled off. New skin forms afterwards and is usually smoother and brighter.  Strength of the peel solution varies depending upon the type of chemicals used.  Each chemical is used based upon the depth and severity of wrinkles.  During the the application of the peel the patient may feel a burning sensation.

As the peel solution pervades through the top layers of skin, the new skin starts to materialize.  This new skin is usually pink and tender after the process, but it will fade and leave a soft and radiant looking skin.

What is the recovery time?

The stronger the chemical peel, the greater the risk that skin may develop scarring.  Also the deeper peels require a longer healing time to heal and require greater care post treatment
