What is Near Infrared Skin Tightening (NIST)?

Near Infrared Skin Tightening is procedure that heats dermal tissue to provide a noninvasive method to remodel and tighten skin.  Energy in the form of heat is uniformly distributed and effectively targets lipids and connective tissue.  This process helps with collagen shrinkage and dermal regeneration, allowing the skin to tighten and be remodeled.

How soon will I see results?

Each client will respond differently depending upon the severity of the problematic area.  But typically, results will appear within a few weeks after the procedure, once the regeneration process nears completion.

Is there any downtime?

Since this procedure is noninvasive, this very little downtime from this procedure.  Most patients are back to their normal routine almost immediately after the procedure.  Typically, there is a slight redness and sensitivity in the areas that were worked upon, but it generally passes quickly.

Is the procedure for anyone?

The procedure typically works well on clients that have mild or moderate laxity and do not require extensive surgery.  NIST is ideal for clients that wish to avoid downtime associated with surgery to achieve similar results.
